Kings of Leon are planning on releasing a special box set on November 25, also known as Black Friday Record Store Day. According to the best KoL news website on the planet, this is what will be included in the box set:
A box set bringing together the band’s early albums Youth & Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak, Because of The Times, and a 4th LP made up of unreleased studio and live tracks picked by the band themselves. Also includes a 20 page booklet and a collectable poster.
FUCK. YES. I’m such a sucker for unreleased KoL tunes. Because Caleb was (is?) a self-sabotaging bastard and was afraid of getting famous, some of the KoL b-sides are, without a doubt, better than the album stuff. Seriously, if you’ve never heard any b-sides, do yourself a favor and listen to some of this goodness:

I know that this is random.. but do you think that the band will be playing at Coachella this year?
Oooh yikes, I’d say it’s highly unlikely (if not impossible) that they play Coachella because they headlined last year. Coachella is notorious for always keeping the lineup fresh, so bringing back Kings of Leon for the second year in a row would be a major major shock. Sorry
